This year the Copytrack team will be taking part again in the biggest international event for image libraries and agencies. From 5 to 7 June around 400 agencies from all over the globe will be meeting in the French capital to cement existing business ties and forge new ones.
The program at this year’s congress covers a variety of exciting and topical subjects around all aspects of the image market and will of course also tackle the EU copyright directive which promises to be a paradigm shift in the way copyright is administered on the internet.
The challenges in implementing the directive are manifold and different on a national level. In order to facilitate the discussion, Cepic issued an invitation to a Legal & Strategic Workshop on Friday 7 June from 10am to 12.30pm. More than 30 experts have accepted the invitation and Copytrack will be represented by Marie Slowioczek-Mannsfeld, Head of Legal, in the round table discussion.
The Workshop will focus on the three topics of discussion:
- Neighboring Rights (press publishers’ rights, publishers compensation claims, neighboring rights in photography)
- Collective Management of Digital Rights
- Open Data and Public Domain
The Copytrack team is looking forward to an inspiring exchange of ideas all around the topic of image copyright on the internet.
